Montana, known for its rolling hills and snow-capped mountains, has some really great farmers markets. With the many farms, it’s no wonder the state boasts some great markets. Here are the top five in the state.

Florence Farmers Market

This is an open-air market located in Florence, Montana. It’s a seasonal farmers market so you’ll have to resort to the supermarket during the colder months. They offer everything from your normal vegetable spread to cookies and coffee beans. The market is open Saturdays 9am-1:30pm May to October.

Black Eagle Farmers Market

Black Eagle is an indoor and outdoor market open from June to October. The market has handmade crafts as well as vegetables, fruits and baked goods. You have to be an early bird to catch the produce because the market is open Saturdays from 7am-3pm.

Yellowstone Valley Farmers Market

Located around the Yellowstone National Park, the Yellowstone Valley Farmers Market offers food to enjoy while shopping for produce, herbs, baked goods and plants. This is the only market on our list that offers fresh cut meats as well. It’s definitely a one stop shop for those who need a quick shopping trip and still want very fresh, local-grown foods.

Manhattan Farmers Market

Just like Manhattan, NYC markets, the farmers market in Manhattan, Montana, is tucked away along the Broadway strip of the town. Located in the town park, the farmers market is shaded among lined trees. It’s open from June to September 4:30pm – 7:30pm. Because the market is open late, they offer free entertainment and activities for kids. Local-grown produce and homemade baked goods make this market a must.

Dillon Farmers Market

This seasonal market offers produce, herbs and plants from July to September and is open Saturdays 10am-1pm. The market is an open air market as well.
